Let's be honest, apart from the tax accountants amongst us, tax has never been the most interesting or easy to follow topic. But is the UK's tax code unnecessarily complex? Or are we all just being a bit precious? Does the complexity help us or hinder us?

The recent proposal of mobile coverage to the underground by 2012 have sparks mixed reaction from commuters. It hasn't been welcomed with open arms as expected. I wonder if it will improve our mundane commute into work or make it more stressful?Boris Johnson believes phone coverage on the underground network is "the way to go". He acknowledges that this proposal will not be embraced by all commuters. However, "we have got to give people the ability to text and perhaps have some coverage for voice telephony." He has set a deadline of 2012 for mobile coverage underground.
