What is Movember?
Movember is the moustache growing and appreciation charity event held annually in the month of November. Mo Bros grow and groom their moustaches during the month to spread the word and raise funds through sponsorship donations.
Movember is all about menshealth and awareness, funds raised in the UK support the number one and two male specific cancers – prostate and testicular. The funds raised are directed to programmes run directly by Movember and their men’s health partners, The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research.
How it began
It began couple mates having a quiet beer on a Sunday afternoon in Melbourne Australia back in 2003 in Melbourne Australia. They decided to create a simple campaign that promoted the growth of Moustaches amongst like-minded individuals whilst raising money to donate to charity. The Movember Charity was born.
Movemer has grown year on year and spans many countries across the Globe. Worldwide Movember has raised over £106 Million for the various Cancer charites and will continue to do so.
What did Cascade do?
This year the guys of the Cascade office donated their faces for this Good cause and managed to raise a healthy £576 for the charity in the process. We’d like to thank everyone who donated to the Cascade MoBros, we will be back next year.
